The overall goal of the study was to evaluate the dose of ASFV required to establish infection in pigs following oral uptake. As par of this study the inoculum was sequenced by overlapping PCR using Illumina MiSeq. One sample, pig70, had a prominent band at ~3700 bp when screened with a specific deletion assay. This product was sequenced by Nanopore to identify the deletion.
