资源简介:
James E. Price was instructed by Kevin McMurry to conduct a Phase I cultural resources assessment of a tract of land north of Round Spring off Highway 19 where modification of a wastewater treatment plant 8lld spray fields is planned. On April 26, 2000 James E. Price, Ozark National Scenic Riverways Archeologist, visited the wastewater treatment plant and associated spray fields at Round Spring. Accompanying him were Kevin McMurry and Randy Ross. A portion of the mound on which tile treatment plant lies has subsided, causing one end of tile building to sink. Ground disturbance will be necessary to correct the problem. A new chain link fence will be constructed around the treatment plant and adjacent basin. The spray field on the side of the hill will have to be expanded to meet certain spray field guidelines. Expansion will involve moving one portion of the spray field from the floodplain to the slope and removing some regelation from the margins and between the spray fields. Also, a chain link fence will be constructed around the spray fields.
A second trip to the location was done on July 10, 2000. At that time J. Price examined the areas where trees will be removed chain link fences will be placed. A pedestrian reconnaissance was conducted in the areas around the spray fields to be modified by ground disturbance associated with expansion of the spray fields and installation of the chain link fences as well as the repair of the subsiding floor of tile waste water treatment plant.
