PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that enables improvement of cooling performance of a control unit which controls a motor in an electric work machine. SOLUTION: The specification discloses an electric work machine. The electric work machine includes: a metallic support rod; a tool disposed at a front end of the support rod; a motor which drives the tool; a control unit which is disposed at a rear end of the support rod and controls the motor; and a heat transmission structure which transmits heat of the control unit to the support rod.
