Coasting Beam Experimental Data from ISIS Storage Ring
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains experimental measurements of coasting beams performed at ISIS Rapid Cycling Synchrotron (RAL, UK) in Storage Ring Mode. The aim of this study was to investigate transverse beam instabilities and impedance effects by varying the vertical betatron tune at two different beam intensities. The experiments were conducted with RF1 cavities switched off, RF2 cavities detuned and kicker magnets disabled. Beam intensity was controlled using 10% and 40% diluters. For the two intensities, coarse vertical tune scans were carried out, followed by fine scans with higher resolution in the region of interest. The data includes the following recorded signals: R8VM1 E1/E2: vertical beam position monitors [V] BLM sum: sum of all beam loss monitors [V] R5IM undivided/divided: intensity monitor signals [V] R5IM divider: scaling factor applied during RCS operation Fine sweeps were repeated multiple times at each intensity level. Associated metadata files document the machine parameters and acquisition settings. This dataset provides a resource for studies of coasting beam dynamics, impedance-driven instabilities, and transverse beam diagnostics in synchrotron accelerators.
