Dangerous Harbor Project - Lancaster County - Reel 261 - Case Papers, 1653-1850 - TIFFs 1-50

This dataset includes 50 TIFF files showing case papers from Lancaster County in Virginia. They were created throughout the judicial process as each case went through the legal system. These documents were collected in association with the Dangerous Harbor Project which used courthouse documents to identify escaped unfree laborers in the 17th century Chesapeake and the punishments associated with their escape.<br>To learn more about this project, please go to the Dangerous Harbor Website.
