Hydropower electricity consumption shares in France 2023, by region

In 2023, Auvergne-Rhône-Alps was the leading administrative region in France for electricity consumption coverage by hydropower, with over 40 percent. Corsica ranked in second, with 25 percent of electricity consumption from hydropower. On the contrary, Upper France, Loire Countries, and Island of France regions had almost none of their electricity covered by hydropower.
