Herbarium-based dataset of <em>Clematis</em> (Ranunculaceae) species native to Brazil

This dataset compiles information from specimens of the genus Clematis (Ranunculaceae) deposited in herbaria, focusing on species native to Brazil and including additional records from neighboring South American countries. It was developed as part of a comprehensive taxonomic revision of the genus in Brazil. The dataset is provided as an Excel file and contains 1,435 records, representing a total of 1,986 examined specimens when duplicates are considered. Each record includes standardized information on collection locality, elevation, geographic coordinates, date of collection, presence of flower/fruit, collector's name and number, and herbarium voucher. All records originate from publicly accessible herbarium collections, and no sensitive or legally restricted information is included.
