Amplicon sequencing and statistical data analysis for AQUACOSM experiment

This repository contains the code for processing and analyzing 16S rRNA gene sequencing data and the statistical data analysis conducted in the study: "Impact of heavy weather events on pelagic cyanobacterial communities: an in situ mesocosm study in the Gulf of Finland" (Santoro et al. 2025). The study tracked (cyano)bacterial community composition over a 17-day mesocosm experiment conducted in June 2021 at Tvärminne Zoological Station, Gulf of Finland. The project is part of the Transnational Access program of the EU H2020-INFRAIA project (No. 731065) AQUACOSM, funded by the European Commission.
