Postmortem human microbiome Raw sequence reads

Donated cadavers are often stored frozen, pending the start of any experimental study, yet little is known about how freezing may affect their microbiome. We assessed the effects of freezing by analysing microbial diversity and abundance in seven human cadavers donated to the Forensic Anthropology Center at Texas State (FACTS). Samples were obtained from the postmortem human microbiome using swabs - oral, skin (hand, neck, foot) and rectal - taken before and after freezing whole donated human remains.
