Juvenile European sea bass were distributed into homogeneous groups and fed for 13 weeks with two isoproteic, isolipidic, and isoenergetic diets, in triplicate. A control diet (FM) was formulated to contain 25% of fishmeal, and the other diet was formulated to contain 10% of Polychaeta meal (PM) in replacement of 40% of the fishmeal in the control diet. At the end of the trial, the transient and resident gut microbiota were separately collected, by digesta and gut mucosa sampling, respectively. The aim was to assess the impact of Polychaeta meal to replace fishmeal in European seabass on gut microbiota.
