Temporal and spatial dynamics of bacterial and fungal microbiomes in nursery soils post-steam sterilization

Plant nursery soil samples were collected over a 5 month period during an experiment at the National Ornamentals Research Site (NORS-DUC) in San Rafael, CA in 2019. DNA was extracted from the soil samples and using high-throughput amplicon-based sequencing, the ITS1,2 and 16SV4 region were amplified to identify the soil microbiome after a soil steaming event.
