This trancriptome analysis reports genes that are differentially expressed upon deletion of the fibronectin gene from the lens during late embryonic development. Overall design: Lenses were isolated from two month Wild Type (WT) and Fibronectin Conditional Knockout mice (FNcKO) by microdissection (2 lenses/sample, three biological replicates/genotype) and total RNA was isolated. cDNA libraries were constructed using SMARTer Stranded Total RNA-Seq - Pico Input Mammalian, and sequenced using an Illumina NextSeq 500 (DNA Link USA, Inc) in an attempt to undestand the role of fibronectin in the post natal lens.
