PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbohydrate polyamine binder and a material prepared using the same. SOLUTION: There is disclosed a binder containing a product of a carbohydrate reaction product and a polyamine， wherein the binder is useful for firmly fixing a loosely combined object such as a fiber. There are also disclosed a carbohydrate reaction product and an uncured fiber product including a fiber in contact with a polyamine. A binder composition can be cured so that a fiber product including a fiber bound by a crosslinked polymer is obtained. There is further disclosed a method for binding fibers with a binder based on a carbohydrate reaction product and a polyamine. SELECTED DRAWING: None
