Italy: opinion on legitimate circumstances to use a weapon in 2017

This statistic illustrates the opinions on the circumstances under which one can use a weapon in Italy as of October 2017. According to the survey, the majority of respondents (32.3 percent) believe that use of weapons was legitimate in case of personal aggression or aggression toward a family member. More than 30 percent of the interviewees replied that in their opinion use of a weapon was justified when a thief or an attacker enters the house.
