Transcriptome Data for "Differential Gene Expression during Substrate Probing in Larvae of the Caribbean Coral Porites astreoides"

Included are two transcriptomes from the Caribbean brooding coral Porites astreoides. Differential gene expression analysis was conducted on the transcriptome labeled "Past_transcriptome.fasta" in the paper "Differential Gene Expression during Substrate Probing in the Caribbean Coral Porites astreoides" (Walker et al., in review). Both transcriptomes were assembled de novo using Trinity with default parameters and read normalization (further methods in Walker et al., in review). Past_transcriptome.fasta: Includes data from coral larvae (non-probing and probing the crustose coralline alga Titanoderma prototypum) collected between 1 and 3 days after release, and fully metamorphosed spat (with crustose coralline algae, or the bacteria Pseudoalteromonas sp. PS5) collected between 1 and 3 days after metamorphosing. Past_PvNP_transcriptome.fasta: Includes data from coral larvae (non-probing and probing the crustose coralline alga Titanoderma prototypum) collected between 1 and 3 days after release.
