Countermeasures against cold before and during COVID-19 Japan 2021

According to a survey conducted in January 2021, approximately 67 percent of surveyed Japanese stated that they purchased face masks or face shields for cold prevention during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The second and third most purchased preventive products were disinfectant spray and throat lozenges. By contrast, throat lozenges had been the most purchased cold remedy before the pandemic at around 41 percent, followed by over-the-counter cold medicines.

根据2021年1月进行的一项调查，大约67%的受访日本民众表示，他们在新冠病毒（COVID-19）大流行期间为了预防感冒而购买了口罩或面罩。其次和第三大购买的防护用品分别为消毒喷雾和喉糖。与此形成鲜明对比的是，在大流行之前，喉糖一直是预防感冒最受欢迎的药品，占比约为41%，其次是非处方感冒药。
