Angelman syndrome (AS) is characterized by severe developmental delay, language and cognition deficits, motor dysfunction. AS is caused by deficient expression of the maternally inherited UBE3A gene in neurons. To understand the mechanism underlying the functions of UBE3A in fear memory, we performed RNA-seq on hippocampal samples from both wildtype (WT) and AS mice under control conditions and following contextual fear memory recall.
