Eligible beneficiaries receive unemployment benefit II. According to § 7 SGB II, persons entitled to work are persons who: - have reached the age of 15 and have not yet reached the retirement age - are able to work, - are in need of help and - have their habitual residence in the Federal Republic of Germany. According to § 8 SGB II, a person who is not unable to work under the usual conditions of the general labour market for the foreseeable future due to illness or disability is considered to be able to work for at least three hours a day. According to § 9 SGB II, a person is in need of help if he cannot secure his integration into work as well as his subsistence and the subsistence of the persons living with him in a needs community (BG) or cannot secure it sufficiently by his own efforts and means, especially by taking up reasonable work or the income or assets to be taken into account and does not receive the necessary help from others (members, other service providers). This includes young people under the age of 18 who attend school and live in a community of needs. Eligible beneficiaries receive unemployment benefit II. Unemployment benefit II is part of the minimum social security scheme.
