This project aims to characterize the gut microbiome of pigs at day 49 (d49) using 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing. Samples were collected from the intestinal tract to profile microbial community composition and diversity during this important developmental stage. The V4 region of the bacterial 16S rRNA gene was amplified and sequenced using the Illumina platform, generating high-quality paired-end reads for downstream bioinformatics analysis.
