In this dataset, we include phytoplankton identification determined and counted using an Olympus IX71 inverted microscope following the British and European Standard (BS EN 15204:2006). Discrete CTD water samples were taken from depths between the surface and 200 m in September-October 2018 during cruise AMT28 and preserved in Lugol's iodine. Samples were collected by Cecilia Liszka (BAS) and analysed by Claire Widdicombe and Paul Rooks (PML).
