Defining a role for GPCR/cAMP/Creb signaling in HFSC activation

Our study demonstrates direct evidence that canonical cAMP/Creb signaling through adrenergic receptors can regulate HFSC activation and the hair cycle. This intracellular signaling circuit connects to downstrean glycolytic metabolism processes which have been previously shown to stimulate HSFC activation. Overall design: Total mouse epidermis was topically treated with either forskolin or cAMP three times over a span of 5 days to characterize the downstream mechanisms by which Creb can influence the acceleration of the hair cycle
