A dataset of 1km Grid shrub land density in China(2022）

Shrubs forests refer to forests with a shrub coverage rate greater than 40%, including both artificial and natural shrub forests. Shrubs and forests play an important role in maintaining national ecological security. From the perspective of forest water conservation, shrubs and forests have a high maximum and effective capacity of litter, and play an indispensable role in water conservation. The density of shrub forests serves as an indicator for evaluating the soil and water conservation capacity of a region, and dynamic monitoring of it is of great significance for coordinating forestry land and improving soil and water conservation capacity according to local conditions. This article uses the 30 meter land use grid data from the 2022 National Land Change Survey, and uses kilometer grid production software to calculate the density of shrub forests in China's 1km grid through grid spatial calculation. This dataset can be used for research in areas such as national spatial planning, forestry resource planning, ecological asset value estimation, forest carbon sink calculation, afforestation effect evaluation, and remote sensing sample library construction.
