Educational Resources for Teaching Biology in Secondary Schools: Dataset from a Multi-Site Study in Ecuador

This dataset contains structured information on the use and impact of educational resources—specifically games, laboratory practices, and storytelling—designed for the teaching of biology in Ecuadorian secondary schools. It includes student performance and students´ perceptions of six highschools. The data support analyses of pedagogical innovation in low-resource contexts and allow replication and comparative studies in science education.The dataset was compiled as part of a broader research project aiming to evaluate culturally relevant didactic tools to enhance conceptual understanding in biology topics such as genetics, ecology, and cell biology.
