资源简介:
A biotope protection area is one of the protected natural areas (ENPs) which are designated or managed areas within an international, Community, national or local framework designed to achieve specific objectives for the conservation of the natural heritage. The biotope protection area is intended to conserve the habitat of protected species. It is a regulatory protection tool at the departmental level, the implementation of which is relatively flexible. It is one of the priority protected areas of the Protected Areas Strategy (SCAP) and is classified as IUCN Category IV as a management area. Most biotope protection areas are monitored either directly across a committee under the authority of the prefect, or indirectly through devices such as Natura 2000 and through local ownership. In the case of a biotope protection order defining several areas where separate rules apply (e.g.: rivers on the one hand and watershed on the other), lageometry to be used to map the protection zone corresponds to the largest geographical envelope. This layer is intended to accommodate areas too small to be represented by a polygon (ex: bell tower in the case of bat areas)
