资源简介:

Following the approval of Bill 56, Building a More Competitive Economy Act, 2025, all automated speed enforcement cameras were deactivated on November 13, 2025. The city has since been collecting and analyzing speed data at the original eight pilot locations to evaluate the impact of the camera removals. Monthly updates are provided for each site, including average speed, 85th percentile speed, speed-limit compliance rates, and the proportion of high-end speeders. This data is presented alongside baseline conditions prior to ASE camera installation and results observed during the enforcement period.

Date Created: January 2026
Update Frequency: Monthly
Accuracy, Completeness, and Known Issues: The Pre ASE Installation raw data for Site E007 Smyth was not found so the 85th percentile speed, compliance percentage and high end speeder percentage used for the Pre ASE Installation data type for site E007 are from The Automated Speed Enforcement Pilot-Technical Memo from August 27th 2021.

Attributes:

Average Speed (AvgSpeed)

85th percentile (Pct85th)

Compliance percentage (PctCompliance)

Percentage of high end speeders (PctHighEndSpeeders)

Data Steward: Connor Fowke
Data Steward Email: Connor.Fowke@ottawa.ca
Department or Agency: Traffic Services
Branch/Unit: ASE
