FZ 3 - 2022 - Stock of motor vehicles and their trailers by municipality

In addition to new registrations of motor vehicles and their trailers, the registration authorities in Germany also notify the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) of their decommissioning. These communications relating to motor vehicles and their trailers and their holders are stored in the Central Vehicle Register (ZFZR). This publication shows the number of motor vehicles and trailers registered in Germany according to the characteristics of the federal state, registration district, municipality with postcode and vehicle category. In the case of a regional structure, the place of residence of the holder or the registered office, the branch or the service is decisive. The postal code (postcode) is not used as an evaluation feature, it only serves to supplement the place name. For municipalities with more than one postal code, only the lowest is indicated. Due to incorporations that have been implemented in the meantime, deviations from the currently valid postal code may arise in individual cases. Special notes are displayed in a note box at the end of the table. The censuses of the vehicle stock are carried out with the reference date of 1 January of each year.
