Petroleum exposure alters the salt tolerance and rhizosphere bacterial diversity of Hippophae rhamnoides L.

In this study, we analyzed the changes of bacterial community diversity in the rhizosphere of H. rhamnoides under petroleum exposure and NaCl stress. The results showed that under the combined stress, H. rhamnoides promoted the effective degradation of total petroleum hydrocarbons in the rhizosphere by remodeling the structure and function of bacterial community, recruiting specific bacterial genera and changing functional genes.
