Action No. 35 of the Mobility Plan of the European Metropolis of Lille presents the metropolitan cycling scheme by 2035. The data proposed here describes the declination into three hierarchical levels of the axes of the cycle path: * **the Vélo+ network** for serving major metropolitan destinations, * **the inter-municipal metropolitan network** to serve the main generating poles, * **the local cycling network** which ensures the fine diffusion and makes the link with the traffic generators and the cores of neighborhoods. ### Detail Entities with INSEE code "0000" are located outside the MEL perimeter. ### Associated data to consult: *Cycling plan 2035 - hard points - Mobility plan - MEL - 2023-2035* ### Background The Metropolitan Cycling Master Plan 2035 is based on the Metropolitan Cycling 2020 Master Plan. He proposes a reinforced vision. It is the result of a territorial reflection whose objective is to propose an inter-municipal network adapted to the geography of the territories and cycling practices that are not the same in the city and the countryside. * In rural areas, the proposed connections will make it possible to connect towns and villages while organising the drawdown to major public transport stations: stations and metro terminus. They will provide access to large school complexes and employment areas. They will also bring long-distance travel to dense urban areas. * In urban areas, the links registered in the inter-municipal network will carry inter-municipal and inter-neighborhood travel. This network is linked to the urban public transport network and is based on the prioritisation of routes. * It will serve all the municipalities of the European Metropolis of Lille. * It will also provide direct service to 90% of the population, 94% of jobs and 93% of the projected school population by 2035. ### The Metropolitan Cyclable Master Plan The metropolitan cycling master plan 2035 is based first and foremost on a comprehensive diagnosis that has made it possible to highlight new challenges in the territory, particularly with regard to the projected developments and behavioural changes at work. This new master plan is also, and above all, the result of consultation with the municipalities of the European Metropolis of Lille and active technical cooperation with the association Droit au Bicycle. It was built in interface with the neighboring territories. Its compatibility with the new on-site transport lines and the target scheme for cycle routes and greenways was considered.
