SinoProbe seismic reflection data in the South China Block

This archive includes a 550-km-long seismic reflection data collected across the Xuegfengshan belt and two ~45-km-long seismic reflection data collected in the Yuanma Basin. The 550-km-long seismic data were acquired by using French Sercel SN408XL 24-bit digital seismic recorders with 1600 channels. Dynamite sources of 48 kg nominal for normal shots and 100 kg nominal for large shots were fired with a spacing of 280 m and 3600 m, respectively. Shot spacing was reduced to 80 m across the mountainous regions. Dynamite for 48 kg sources was placed in single holes at depth of 25 m. Dynamite for 100 kg sources were detonated in 40 m deep 5-hole arrays. SM-24 geophones were used with a dominant frequency of 10-Hz in a group space of 40 m. Seismic data were recorded for 30 s at a sampling rate of 2 ms and 60 s at a sampling rate of 4 ms for normal shot and large shot, respectively. The two short seismic reflection data were acquired with 800 channels. The receiver spacing is 40 m. Dynamite sources of 16-22 kg nominal were fired with a spacing of 200 m. The format of seismic data in this repository is SEGY.
