Baseline data on smallholder farming system and market characteristics of peanuts in Kisumu and Homabay Counties, Kenya

The database contains data on smallholder households' socio-economic characteristics, land use, groundnut production, post-harvest management practices and groundnut market characteristics. The data were collected by the University of Nairobi in January 2021 through a questionnaire administered to 120 households in Kisumu and Homabay counties in Kenya.

Data were used for the publication "Constraints and Opportunities in Peanut Production and Marketing in Nyakach and Karachuonyo of Nyanza Kenya"  (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.7817365)
