资源简介:
This study was conducted as a one-day study in January 2022 in Germany. The data was collected by means of an online survey. Participants were contacted via the panel provider Respondi GmbH (now Bilendi GmbH). A random sample of panel members who met the inclusion criteria for the survey (at least 18 years and no older than 67 years, digital information work / office job, full-time employment) was used. Participation was voluntary and anonymity and confidentiality were guaranteed. The respondents received an expense allowance from the panel provider for their participation. As the study met a number of standard criteria (anonymous participation, adult participants, no intrusive measures, no deception), no further ethical approval was required. Participants could choose any day within a two-week period to participate. The focus was on measuring intraindividual changes in well-being in order to obtain better possibilities for proving causality. Specifically, a longitudinal panel study was conducted on one working day, in which the employees first assessed their general well-being in a baseline survey (t1), then counted and characterized the work interruptions during a full working day (t2) and finally, at the end of the working day, again assessed their well-being and the work interruptions that had occurred with regard to the perceived overload (t3).Results are reported in:Rick, V.B. et al. (2024) Work Interruptions of Office Workers: The Influence of the Complexity of Primary Work Tasks on the Perception of Interruptions. Work, 77 (1), pp. 185-196Rick, V.B. et al. (in print) What really bothers us about work interruptions? Investigating the characteristics of work interruptions and their effects on office workers. Work & Stress
