Time-depth records of diving behaviour profiles of adelie penguins at various nest stages

Using a newly developed small electronic package, time depth recorders, several penguins were fitted to determine the profile of their diving behaviour while they are foraging. The time depth recorders log the real time and depth of the penguin every 10 seconds. Three females that were incubating and going on their first foraging trip, 2 adults that were feeding small chicks and 1 adult feeding large chicks all had diving profiles recorded.
