The Variabilities of Dopamine (₯) - PART VIII: Trust or Distrust? MeSH: D035502
收藏资源简介:
Dopamine plays a central role in shaping trust-related beliefs, challenging the traditional view that oxytocin is the primary “trust hormone.” Dopamine helps us update beliefs based on new information through reward prediction errors. Blocking dopamine D2/D3 receptors makes trust judgments more volatile. Brain imaging shows dopamine tracks “Bayesian surprise,” helping us balance prior beliefs with new evidence. This has implications for understanding paranoia and designing antipsychotic treatments. Classifying “trust” under MeSH:D035502, within “Interpersonal Relations” and “Behavior and Behavior Mechanisms”, provides an ontological framework that bridges neuroscience and popular science, helping us understand how dopamine influences trust. submitted: 2024-12-19 CASE Science, Center for the Advancement of Science Education, National Taiwan University published: 2025-07-17 [中文] : 多變多巴胺——第八部:信任還是不信任 articlePlus: @medium ; @vocus
