Protection Management Areas

A Protection Management Area is an area which provides a representative example of the District’s original natural ecosystems, including indigenous habitat and indigenous species. The mapped Protection Management Areas are derived from relevant survey reports undertaken by the Department of Conservation for the National Protected Natural Areas Programme NPNAP). Information on the district’s Sites of Special Wildlife Interest has been included only where it coincides with PNAP survey information.保护管理区（Protection Management Area）指能够代表该辖区原生自然生态系统的区域，涵盖本土生境与本土物种。已标绘的保护管理区数据源自保护部（Department of Conservation）为国家保护自然区域计划（National Protected Natural Areas Programme，NPNAP）所开展的相关调查报告。仅当相关信息与NPNAP的调查内容相符时，该辖区内的特殊野生生物重要位点（Sites of Special Wildlife Interest）的相关信息才会被纳入本数据集。
