Metagenome samples were acquired from Sandusky Bay during a Planktothrix agardhii harmful algal bloom in 2017 and 2018. These two samples were chosen based on qPCR analysis that suggested an elevated cyanophage presence with the aim to identify viral fragments in the metagenome.
