This dataset represents the relative position and extent of encroachment permits created by the Geomatics Branch to support real property management within the Department of Water Resources right of way. Permit boundaries were defined using the best available resources for each case, ranging from submitted plans to narratives from older records. The associated data are considered DWR enterprise GIS data, which meet all appropriate requirements of the DWR Spatial Data Standards, specifically the DWR Spatial Data Standard version 3.6, dated September 27, 2023.
