Smartphones: reasons for non-ownership in the UK 2017

This statistic illustrates the share of reasons for not owning a smartphone in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2017. The highest share of respondents, which corresponded to 52 percent, did not own a smartphone because of the high price, whereas 49 percent stated that the contract rates were too high.Although there are many reasons to not purchase a smartphone the majority of consumers do own one in the UK. The smartphone user penetration is expected to rise in the foreseeable future.
