In this report, we present the results from a survey examining the formal qualifications of upper secondary school teachers. The report assesses the competence of teachers in relation to the formal qualification requirements (60 or more relevant credit points) in the Education Act. The report compares the competency profiles of teachers in 2022 to those identified in a previous survey conducted by Statistics Norway (SSB) in 2017. A teacher is defined as anyone who teaches at the upper secondary level, regardless of educational background and pedagogical training.
