2019 NYGrid Data for Unit Commitment and Economic Dispatch Simulation

Folder NYGrid Thermal generator data, including type, capacity, ramping rates, operating cost, are sourced from [1] based on installed capacity in 2019. Folder time_series Correlated wind, solar, and load scenario data generated based on probabilistic forecasts for the NYISO system in 2019 developed as part of the ARPA-E PERFORM program. The method is able to capture intertemporal dependencies while matching marginal distributions of each random variable. We use day-ahead probabilistic forecast datasets to generate forecasts with hourly resolution with higher uncertainty to be used in unit commitment and hour-ahead probabilistic forecast datasets to generate forecasts with 5-minute resolution with smaller uncertainty to be used in the economic dispatch model.
