Developing watertight electronics has become an imperative trend in daily necessities, where waterproof and acoustic membranes play a critically protective role in water prevention function. Despite the widespread application of waterproof and acoustic membranes, significant challenges persist in achieving an optimal balance between effective sound transmission and reliable waterproofness. This study presents a one-step electrospinning technology to prepare a kind of membrane with a structure of binary interwoven nanofiber network. The fabricated membrane exhibits outstanding performance, including high hydrostatic pressure of 88.3 kPa, and improved breathability of 10.31 kg m−2 d−1 owing to its extremely small maximum pore size and high porosity. The addition of carbon black (CB) nanoparticles improves acoustic transparency with a minimal sound transmission loss (TL) within 1.3 dB, and enhances mechanical properties with tensile stress of 8.1 MPa. The innovative WBMs, with their stable and superior properties, may pave an extra route for the development of acoustic membranes for watertight smart electronics.
