Replication code for "RCTs against the machine: Can machine learning prediction methods recover experimental treatment effects?". Data access must be secured from Pecan Street (https://www.pecanstreet.org/). The user's username and password must then be inserted into the code in lines 13-14 in "pecan_functions.R". Warning: because of the massive amount of data and computational complexity of the ML training algorithms, this running this code requires large amounts of memory (recommended >90 GB of RAM) and takes weeks of computational time to complete.
