Plant diversity drives positive microbial associations in the rhizosphere enhancing carbon use efficiency in agricultural soils - bacterial sequencing

In this project we collected barley rhizospheric soil from the TwinWin agricultural diversity experiment. Here, we sequenced the V3-V4 region of the 16S rRNA to evaluate how plant diversity would impact barley rhizosphere microbial community. We found that, increasing plant diversity, strengthens positive associations within the bacterial rhizosphere soil microbial community in relation to negative associations.
