Land types are classified into secondary categories including: paddy field, dry land, closed forest land, shrub land, sparse forest land, other forest land, high-coverage grassland, medium-coverage grassland, low-coverage grassland, rivers and canals, lakes, reservoir ponds, permanent glacier and snow land, tidal flat, beach land, urban land, rural residential areas, other construction land, sandy land, gobi, saline-alkali land, marsh land, bare land, bare rock and gravel land, and others. Specifically, cultivated land is categorized by landform into paddy fields and dry lands in mountainous, hilly, and plain areas, as well as on slopes with a gradient exceeding 25 degrees. The data has a scale of 1:100,000.
