The duration of the ice-free period (in days) in the outer part of Young Sound for each year. Determined on observations from satellite images and automatic digital camera system (74°18.594'N, 20°12.598'W). For further details, please refer to the newest MarineBasis Zackenberg manual available at the website. Sea ice conditions:Sea ice conditions MarineBasis Zackenberg:The MarineBasis programme collects physical, chemical and biological data from the Greenland coastal zone. Work is focused around three fjord systems, all influenced by glaciers connected to the Greenland Ice Sheet.
