Synthetic GHG Emissions Dataset for OFP–OSDU Integration in Energy Sector Reporting

This dataset represents, to the best of our knowledge, the first publicly available synthetic greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions dataset explicitly mapped to both the Open Footprint (OFP) model and the Open Subsurface Data Universe (OSDU) schemas (Facility, Asset, Measurement). It was developed to fill a critical gap by enabling interoperability testing, ESG reporting validation, and integrated sustainability–operations analytics in the energy sector. The dataset contains 500 records across 32 parameters, including facility-level identifiers, production metrics, flaring volumes, methane intensity, and Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions. All values are synthetically generated but follow realistic industry ranges and relationships to support reproducible research without exposing confidential or proprietary information.
