资源简介:
Efficient adsorption and storage of ammonia (NH3) remains an important pipeline of research. We seek to develop highly stable NH3 storage systems and request 7 days on IRIS to study the diffusion of adsorbed NH3 molecules within two functional porous metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) as a function of gas loading and temperature. The proposed study builds on our recent achievement (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2018, 57, 14778-14781) and will reveal the mechanism of diffusion (and hence confinement) of trapped/bound NH3 molecules; that is of particular interest owing to the very high adsorption exhibited by these MOFs. These studies on the diffusion of confined gas molecules have significant impact on the practical application of MOF materials for gas storage.
