Chromosome-level genome of a deep-sea starfish, Zoroaster sp., provides insights into the adaption of Asteroidea to the deep-sea

In the present study, we provide the first chromosome-level genome assembly for the deep-sea starfish, representing one of the limited high-quality genomes for sea stars. Comparative genomic analyses revealed gene families related to immune responses that might play important roles in its adaptation to the deep sea.
