资源简介:
Norilsk, the world largest Ni-Cu-PGE deposit, is unique among ultramafic-mafic associated igneous deposits, combining PGE and PGE-Cu-Ni sulphide deposits within a single intrusive body. The genesis of Norilsk is synchronous with the greatest mass extinction event in Earth history. It is also unique in having formed from magmas that were\r\napparently de-gassing while the ore magmas were crystallising. We aim to build on results from a previous experiment to track the behaviour of precious metals and gold in relation to complex patterns of trace element zoning in silicate minerals growing inside gas bubbles.\nLineage: Data was produced using the Maia 384 element detector array on the XFM X-ray microprobe beamline of the Australian Synchrotron and processed using the GeoPIXE software package.
