Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest: Ovenbird nests at the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, 2022 - ongoing

This dataset provides nest records for Ovenbirds breeding at the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest. We located and monitored nesting attempts (successful and unsuccessful) on a 100-ha plot (elevation: 450-600 m). Ovenbirds renest after a nest failure and occassional double brood (i.e., attempt to produce another brood after successfully fledgling offspring). Few males were bigamous (i.e., associated with two nesting females, either sequentially or simultaneously).

These data were gathered as part of the Hubbard Brook Ecosystem Study (HBES). The HBES is a collaborative effort at the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, which is operated and maintained by the USDA Forest Service, Northern Research Station.
