资源简介:
Climate change is expected to increase the frequency and duration of drought events, threatening the functioning and stability of Central European forests. To understand how tree species differ in their water-use behavior and stomatal regulation under drought, we established this dataset as part of a broader study on tree hydro-functional strategies in the MyDiv Experiment. This dataset contains measurements of leaf stomatal conductance taken during the drought summer of 2022 using a hand-held porometer. For each of ten temperate tree species, repeated measurements were conducted on the same top-canopy leaves of the same tree individuals several times throughout the day, capturing diurnal curves of stomatal regulation. These data represent leaf-level hydro-functional traits that characterize species-specific transpiration behavior along the water-saver–water-spender continuum. They provide insights into interspecific differences in stomatal control, water-use efficiency, and drought adaptation among temperate forest tree species.
